JOB TITLE: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Inpatient/Med Surg

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services in our acute care setting, with occasional support for inpatient rehabilitation and participation in weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with achieving their rehabilitation goals through various therapeutic interventions.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.

Schedule / Shift
- Weekend availability required.

Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation is a plus.

Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in therapeutic exercise and activity modification.
