Key Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients upon arrival, ensuring all demographic and billing information is accurate.
- Complete forms, prepare charts, and review fee slips for accuracy.
- Maintain office filing systems and update electronic medical records as necessary.
- Collect patient payments in line with cash handling policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient procedures and provide administrative support to clinical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a medical assistant program.
- None required, but relevant education or equivalent experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience providing medical assistance in a physician's office, nursing facility, or hospital.
- A combination of relevant education and experience in lieu of attending a medical assistant program.
