Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    Seeking a CT/XR Technologist to provide advanced diagnostic imaging services in an emergency department setting.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Perform a variety of CT and X-ray procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
    - Operate CT and X-ray equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
    - Position patients correctly for examinations.
    - Administer contrast media as required.
    - Maintain patient safety and privacy.
    - Document patient care and procedures accurately in the EMR system.
    - Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

    Schedule / Shift
    - Mixed schedule including days and nights.
    - Example Schedule: Monday 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Wednesday 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Saturday 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM.
    - Includes call responsibilities.

    Required Qualifications
    - Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
    - Current BLS certification.
    - ARRT (R) certification.
    - ARRT (CT) certification.

    Preferred Qualifications
    - Prior experience working as a CT/XR tech in a free-standing Emergency Department.
    - Prior experience with the Meditech EMR system.

    - BLS

    - ARRT (CT)

    Experience
    - Minimum 1 year of CT experience.

    Skills
    - Proficient in CT and X-ray imaging techniques.
    - Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
    - Strong understanding of patient anatomy and physiology.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    - Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    - Meditech

    Patient Population
    - Emergency Department patients.

    Unit / Specialty
    - Radiology (CT/XR) within an Emergency Department.

    Floating / On-Call
    - On-call requirements: 5 x 24-hour call shifts per month per technologist.
