Job Summary
The Case Cart Technician is responsible for preparing, organizing, and delivering surgical case carts to support operating room procedures. This role ensures that all surgical instruments and supplies are accurately assembled, sterile, and available on time to meet surgeon and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and stock case carts with required surgical instruments and supplies for scheduled procedures.
- Ensure accurate picking of items based on surgeon preference cards.
- Verify sterility, expiration dates, and completeness of supplies before dispatch.
- Transport case carts to and from the operating room in a timely manner.
- Replenish supplies and maintain organized storage areas after procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established protocols and safety standards.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and transport case carts and supplies.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or surgical services environment.
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instruments.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
