  • Job Summary
    Client is seeking a qualified Microbiologist for a 12-week assignment. The role involves conducting laboratory testing, analyzing specimens, and supporting physicians and clinical staff in diagnosing and treating patients. This is a full-time position with 5x8-hour shifts (40 hours per week).

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform microbiological testing and analysis on patient specimens.
    2. Identify and classify microorganisms using appropriate laboratory techniques.
    3. Maintain accurate records of test results and ensure timely reporting.
    4. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with safety standards.
    5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
    6. Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
    7. Ensure quality assurance and participate in proficiency testing as required.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current New Hampshire license to practice as a Microbiologist.
    2. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
    3. Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and laboratory safety protocols.
    4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    5. Must reside more than 50 miles from Dover, NH (per hospital assignment requirements).

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
    2. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification preferred.
    2. Other relevant laboratory certifications are a plus.
