Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a variety of clinical areas. The role involves capturing high-quality images, supporting physicians in accurate diagnosis, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure comfort during exams.
- Capture and analyze diagnostic images, ensuring clarity and accuracy for physician review.
- Document findings and maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ARDMS certification in one or more specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience working in hospital or outpatient clinical settings.
- Ability to perform specialized sonography (e.g., echocardiography, musculoskeletal).
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Certifications (if any)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in relevant specialties.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
