Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will support the OB/Gyn Department by providing patient care and assisting physicians with clinical procedures. This role requires flexibility to float between Cleint Medford and Peabody locations. The Medical Assistant will handle patient intake, vital signs, and assist with OB timelines and gynecological procedures, ensuring compassionate care and efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record patient heights, weights, vital signs, and blood pressure.
- Room patients and prepare them for physician examinations.
- Assist with OB timelines and documentation.
- Serve as a chaperone during examinations and procedures.
- Assist physicians with gynecological procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Epic (preferred).
- Provide advance notice of assigned work location (Medford or Peabody).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- OB/Gyn experience.
- Experience using Epic electronic medical records system.
Certifications (if any)
- Medical Assistant certification – preferred
