  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) to join our team as a generalist. This role requires working independently on night shifts and includes phlebotomy responsibilities. The ideal candidate is reliable, confident in their skills, and comfortable making decisions independently in a clinical laboratory environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform a wide range of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines as a generalist.
    2. Accurately analyze and report laboratory results in a timely manner.
    3. Conduct phlebotomy procedures as part of daily responsibilities.
    4. Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
    5. Work independently during overnight shifts.
    6. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    7. Rotate coverage on weekends and holidays as scheduled.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Must be willing and able to work alone during night shifts.
    2. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    3. Comfortable performing both technical laboratory and phlebotomy duties.
    4. Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of Belvidere Hospital (local candidates not eligible).

    Certifications
    ASCP Certification (MT or MLT)
