Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    Provide diagnostic imaging services using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform MRI procedures according to physician's orders and established protocols.
    • Position patients and set up imaging equipment to ensure optimal image acquisition.
    • Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Review images for technical quality and ensure all requested protocols are met.
    • Maintain patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures.
    • Document patient information, procedures, and findings in the electronic health record.
    • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper function and reporting any issues.

    Schedule / Shift
    • 36 hours per week
    • Nights
    • 12-hour shifts
    • Saturday, Sunday, Monday
    • 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
    • Holidays as needed

    Required Qualifications
    • At least 2 years of recent MRI Tech experience in a busy hospital setting.
    • Inpatient/acute hospital experience is required.
    • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment is required.
    • Experience with Philips and GE MRI equipment is beneficial.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • 4+ years of experience specifically using Siemens MRI equipment.

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARMIT

    Experience
    • 2+ years of recent MRI Tech experience.
    • Inpatient/acute hospital experience.

    Skills
    • Proficient in performing MRI procedures.
    • Knowledge of MRI physics and safety protocols.
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Patient Population
    • Adult and potentially pediatric patients, depending on facility protocols.

    Floating / On-Call
    • Willingness to float to other imaging modalities as needed.
    • On-call duties may be required.
