Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab to join our rehabilitation team. This role is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise, compassion, and strong collaboration skills to help patients restore function, improve mobility, and regain independence in an inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving functional outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, and strategies to promote continued recovery.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures in all therapy sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in an inpatient or acute care setting.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation practices and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based physical therapy.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Advanced training or certifications in neurologic, orthopedic, or geriatric rehabilitation.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
