Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Production Coordinator is responsible for managing loaner and consignment tray coordination, overseeing daily production workflows, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. This role serves as a liaison between vendors, clinical teams, and SPD staff, ensuring seamless operations, timely communication, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Loaner & Consignment Tray Coordination
- Serve as the point person for managing all incoming and outgoing loaner and consignment trays.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and integrity of tray contents before and after sterilization.
- Coordinate with vendors, clinical partners, and SPD teams to ensure timely delivery and proper processing.
- Track and document tray movement through the sterilization and return cycle.
- Production & Workflow Oversight
- Oversee daily production flow in coordination with SPD leadership.
- Identify and resolve potential delays, discrepancies, or bottlenecks.
- Maintain communication with technicians and leadership to align production goals.
- Provide guidance and oversight to Production Technicians as needed.
- Communication & Relationship ManagementAct as a liaison between vendors, clinical teams, and SPD staff.
- Maintain regular communication with partner hospitals and surgery centers regarding tray status and delivery schedules.
- Represent the organization professionally in all interactions.
- Data Accuracy & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of data into tracking systems.
- Generate reports summarizing activity, volume trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Uphold documentation standards supporting regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on SPD experience with loaner and consignment tray management.
- Proven ability to coordinate across departments, vendors, and leadership teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with instrument tracking software and reporting tools.
- Positive, proactive mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Required Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- CRCST or CSPDT certification.
