  • Job Summary
    We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) team. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients with neurological disorders, trauma, or post-surgical conditions. The role demands advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Deliver direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions in the ICU setting.
    2. Monitor and interpret neurological assessments, vital signs, and invasive monitoring devices.
    3. Administer medications, including vasoactive drugs, sedation, and pain management, safely and accurately.
    4. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    5. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
    6. Respond promptly to neurological emergencies, including seizures and increased intracranial pressure.
    7. Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and patient responses in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
    8. Maintain a safe, sterile, and therapeutic environment in the Neuro ICU.
    9. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    2. Minimum of 1 year experience in a Neuro ICU or critical care setting.
    3. Strong neurological assessment and critical care skills.
    4. Ability to manage complex monitoring devices and life-support equipment.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    6. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN).
    3. Experience with continuous EEG monitoring and intracranial pressure monitoring.

    Certifications
    1. BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
    2. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
    3. CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) – Preferred
    4. CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) – Preferred
