  • Job Summary:
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in Pediatrics is responsible for delivering high-quality care to pediatric patients in a variety of settings. This includes monitoring and managing the medical needs of children, collaborating with healthcare teams, and providing family support and education. The RN will utilize clinical expertise and a compassionate approach to care for pediatric patients and ensure positive outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessing, monitoring, and managing their physical and emotional needs.
    • Clinical Skills: Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures as required while ensuring the safety and comfort of pediatric patients.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with pediatric specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure the best outcomes for patients.
    • Family Education: Educate and support families regarding their child's condition, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
    • Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and progress in the medical record, in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Emergency Response: Respond to pediatric emergencies in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) protocols when necessary.
    Required Qualifications:
    • 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent pediatric nursing experience
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
    • Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state where care is provided
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) Certification

    Preferred Qualifications (if any):
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field
