Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to assist in surgical procedures involving the heart and vascular system. The CVOR Tech will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure a sterile and efficient operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare the operating room and sterile field for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular operations by passing instruments and supplies
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly during procedures
• Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Handle and care for specimens as directed
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after surgeries
• Monitor and replenish operating room supplies and instruments

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a CVOR or surgical tech role
• Proficient knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced surgical environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a high-volume cardiovascular surgical setting

Certifications:
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (preferred)
