  • Job Summary:
    Under the general supervision of the Physical Therapy or Clinical/Program Supervisor, the Physical Therapist - Float is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients. This role requires close coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop goal-directed therapy programs while maintaining accurate records and adhering to professional standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans based on professional standards.
    • Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions to enhance patient mobility, function, and overall well-being.
    • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to establish treatment goals and ensure a coordinated approach to care.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
    • Adhere to departmental procedures, safety protocols, and ethical standards while delivering high-quality patient care.
    • Provide education and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy techniques and home exercises.
    • Utilize a variety of small tools, electrical equipment, and patient care appliances in treatment delivery.
    • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in response to changing work environments and responsibilities.
    • Uphold professional and ethical conduct, ensuring confidentiality and respectful communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
    • Maintain regular, predictable attendance and demonstrate effective time management in a fast-paced environment.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
    • Minimum of 3 years of hospital-based experience (required).
    • Current State Physical Therapy License.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills in clinical settings.
    • Experience serving a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics.
    • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills to document patient care and interact with teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Neuro experience (preferred).
