  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our pediatric care team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to children and assist nursing staff in delivering safe, high-quality care. This role is essential in ensuring patient comfort, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting families throughout the care process.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
    2. Feed children who require assistance and monitor food and fluid intake
    3. Safely reposition, transfer, and transport patients (e.g., bed to wheelchair)
    4. Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report changes to nursing staff
    5. Maintain patient hygiene by changing bed linens, cleaning rooms, and ensuring a safe environment
    6. Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes for pediatric patients
    7. Provide emotional support to children and families, fostering trust and comfort
    8. Assist nurses during procedures by preparing rooms, handling supplies, and supporting minor tests or procedures
    9. Monitor and document patient behavior, symptoms, and changes; escalate concerns to nurses as needed
    10. Maintain clinical inventory by ordering and restocking supplies
    11. Respond to call lights and patient requests promptly to ensure safety and comfort
    12. Assist with routine checks, including intake/output measurements, specimen collection, and basic testing (e.g., glucometer)

    Required Qualifications
    1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC)
    2. Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice
    3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    4. Ability to work effectively in a pediatric care environment
    5. Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Previous experience in pediatric or acute care settings

    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required by facility)
