  • Job Summary:
    The EVS (Environmental Services) Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and a safe environment within the facility. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, handling waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.  

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.  
    2. Collect, transport, and properly dispose of medical and non-medical waste.  
    3. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carts.  
    4. Restock and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom products as needed.  
    5. Follow established infection control and hazardous waste protocols.  
    6. Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the appropriate department.  
    7.  Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.  
    8. Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.  

    Required Qualifications:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.  
    2. Minimum 2 year of experience in environmental services or janitorial work.  
    3. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.  
    4. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.  
    5. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.  

    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Experience in a healthcare or medical facility environment.  
    2. Familiarity with infection control protocols.  
    3. Shift: 5 Days x 8 hours (11:00am-7:00pm)

    Certifications (if any):
    1. Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) – Preferred.
