  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Dietary Cook with prior hospital dietary experience. This role is responsible for preparing and delivering meals to patients, staff, and visitors, while ensuring compliance with hospital standards. The position also includes cleaning and maintenance duties to support a safe and welcoming environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare and cook a variety of food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other dishes.
    2. Deliver meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and professional manner.
    3. Maintain cleanliness in hospital areas such as patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
    4. Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and supplies according to hospital procedures.
    5. Assist with grounds maintenance tasks, including snow removal and exterior yard cleanup.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Proven hospital dietary experience.
    2. Ability to prepare and cook simple, routine food dishes.
    3. Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
    4. Capability to perform cleaning tasks using proper chemicals and supplies.
    5. Physical ability to assist with grounds work and other manual tasks
    6. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting beyond dietary services.
    2. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent (preferred).
    2. Any relevant safety or sanitation certifications.
