  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our sterile processing team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment meet stringent quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role involves following ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain the highest level of quality and patient safety within sterile processing operations.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Adhere to all ANSI/AAMI standards, IFUs, SOPs, and company Work Instructions to ensure consistent quality control.
    2. Decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and approved safety protocols.
    3. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble complex surgical instruments accurately.
    4. Assemble and package instrument trays and sets in accordance with established guidelines and checklists.
    5. Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and efficiently.
    6. Perform visual and functional inspections on all instruments to verify cleanliness, performance, and integrity prior to packaging.
    7. Identify and document missing or damaged instruments following company SOPs.
    8. Maintain accurate, timely records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory control.
    9. Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage or loss.
    10. Complete daily computer-based documentation and paperwork related to quality assurance and tracking.
    11. Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels to ensure continuous workflow.
    12. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization and processing equipment.
    13. Keep workstations, decontamination areas, and quality inspection zones organized and compliant with infection control standards.
    14. Communicate effectively with internal teams, operations personnel, and distribution staff to resolve issues quickly.
    15. Provide feedback and contribute to workflow improvements and process optimization.
    16. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certifications and technical competencies.
    17. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
    2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
    3. Familiarity with sterile processing procedures, infection control, and quality assurance principles.
    4. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    5. Basic computer literacy for recordkeeping and data entry.

    Certifications
    Required:
    1. Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST)
