  • Job Summary
    The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse provides fast, accurate, and compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent needs. This role is responsible for assessment, triage, treatment, and stabilization in a high-pressure environment while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe and effective patient care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity.
    2. Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as prescribed.
    3. Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.
    4. Participate actively in code situations and emergency procedures.
    5. Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
    6. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and medical staff.
    7. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and professional nursing practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district.
    2. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
    3. Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
    4. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    5. Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Additional training or certifications in emergency or critical care nursing.

    4. PALS – Required
    5. ACLS – Required
