Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) provides strategic HR support and consultation within the designated Operating Unit (OU). Acting as a trusted advisor, the Sr. HRBP establishes strong relationships across all levels of management and staff, partnering with senior leadership to analyze and improve employee work environments proactively. This role offers tactical HR support to line managers, collaborates with other HR functions, and leads change management initiatives as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR consultation and support to the Operating Unit’s leadership and employees.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff at all levels.
- Analyze HR efforts and collaborate with senior leaders to enhance the workplace environment.
- Deliver tactical HR support to line managers across various functions.
- Act as liaison between the Operating Unit and other HR functions including recruitment, training and development, employee/labor relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Lead and support change management efforts as required.
- Provide expertise in managing unionized environments where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner.
- Proven success in leading within unionized environments (except Medical Group, The Providence Center, and Corporate Services).
- Certification in one or more major HR disciplines (PHR, SPHR, CEBS, CCP, CBP) preferred.
- Strong disposition with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
