Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    Perform diagnostic medical sonography procedures to create images of the body for the diagnosis of medical conditions. Operates ultrasound equipment and processes diagnostic information to communicate findings to physicians.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, vascular, obstetrical, and gynecological procedures.
    - Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain diagnostic quality images.
    - Position patients to best demonstrate the area of interest.
    - Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have.
    - Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
    - Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols.
    - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.

    Schedule is variable.

    Required Qualifications
    - Must be able to work independently.

    Experience
    - Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

    Skills
    - Excellent technical skills in ultrasound imaging.
    - Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
    - Ability to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
    - Proficient in patient care and communication.

    Certifications
    - ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registry in General (Abdomen), Vascular, OB/GYN.
