• Cardiological Testing: Perform a range of cardiological tests, including electrocardiograms (EKG), phonocardiograms, echocardiograms, and stress tests, using advanced electronic equipment.
• Patient Comfort & Education: Ensure patients are comfortable and informed by addressing any questions or concerns regarding their tests and procedures.
• Recording & Reporting: Accurately record test results and consult with the attending physician to schedule any necessary follow-up tests or procedures.
• Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures by closely monitoring patients’ heart rates and alerting the physician to any abnormal readings.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily cleaning, adjustments, and maintenance of cardiology equipment to ensure optimal functionality and patient safety.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels by recording and restocking supplies as needed, ensuring the storeroom is well-stocked.
• Equipment Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisors.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest cardiological advancements by attending conferences and participating in research initiatives.

• Educational Background: Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cardiology technician.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in the use of cardiological equipment such as EKG machines, and capable of performing routine equipment maintenance.
• Cardiovascular Knowledge: Strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Compliance & Standards: Solid knowledge of professional medical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local).
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent bedside manner, with strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care.
