Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and other radiographic examinations.
- Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures clearly to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Assist in maintaining imaging equipment and reporting malfunctions promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, safety standards, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical radiology department.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging technologies (CT, MRI, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
Certifications (if any)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Advanced certifications in CT, MRI, or other modalities (preferred).
