Job Summary:
• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Monitor patient progress and provide education and support to expectant mothers
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor
• Administer medications and perform interventions as prescribed
• Assist with labor procedures and deliveries, including high-risk cases
• Provide postpartum care and education to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications:
• 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in nursing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Over 5 years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last 2 years) in Labor and Delivery
• 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years
• High-risk OB experience
Certifications:
• Registered Nurse License (active and in good standing)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
