  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and coordinate clinical operations in the Emergency Department. This role provides leadership and support to nursing staff while ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER environment averaging 100–120 patients daily. The RN Supervisor will oversee staffing, patient flow, compliance, and emergency interventions while serving as a clinical resource and role model.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Supervise and coordinate daily Emergency Department operations and staffing.
    2. Provide leadership and support to nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.
    3. Perform patient assessments, triage, and nursing interventions per hospital standards.
    4. Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, advanced airway management, procedural sedation, and cardiac monitoring.
    5. Monitor patient flow, staffing utilization, and department operations in a high-volume ER setting.
    6. Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, COBRA, infection control, and patient safety standards.
    7. Support staff education, competency validation, orientation, and performance evaluations.
    8. Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and efficiency.
    9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident investigations, and departmental audits.
    10. Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions.
    11. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate patient care updates.
    12. Serve as a clinical resource and role model for emergency nursing best practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active state RN License.
    2. Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room RN experience.
    3. Previous Charge Nurse or ER Supervisory experience required.
    4. BSN preferred.

    Required Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS).
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
    3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
    4. NIH Stroke Certification.
    5. TNCC and MICN preferred/required for IVMC candidates.
    6. CEN/CCRN highly preferred.
