  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Clinic is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating clinical services, and supporting physicians and other healthcare providers. This role involves patient assessment, care planning, health education, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatment procedures
    2. Coordinate patient services with physicians, specialists, and allied health staff
    3. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
    4. Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
    5. Support outpatient procedures and assist with follow-up care
    6. Monitor patient progress and escalate concerns appropriately
    7. Promote safety and compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards

    Required Qualifications
    1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    2. Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
    3. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    4. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
    5. Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    2. 2+ years of outpatient or ambulatory care nursing experience
    3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be required depending on clinic specialty)
    4. Experience in patient education and care coordination

    Certifications
    1. BLS required
    2. ACLS preferred (based on specialty)
