  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of medical conditions, while also monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings. This position requires clinical expertise, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills to coordinate care effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
    2. Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, recognizing and responding to abnormalities.
    3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    4. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
    6. Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
    7. Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
    8. Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed.
    9. Support patient recovery and mobility by assisting with daily activities and rehabilitation exercises.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    2. Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit.
    3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    4. Proficient in the use of telemetry monitoring equipment.
    5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    6. Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
    7. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. 2+ years of experience in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting.
    3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

    Certifications
    1. BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
    2. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Preferred
