  • Job Summary
    The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care within the outpatient setting. This role is responsible for rooming patients, documenting accurate medical information, and assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Room patients and prepare exam rooms for clinical visits.
    2. Obtain and document medical and medication histories.
    3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
    4. Manage and monitor clinical inventory; restock supplies as needed.
    5. Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked for patient care.
    6. Perform light administrative tasks as assigned.
    7. Coordinate outpatient tests and follow up on related documentation.
    8. Assist healthcare providers with examinations and clinical procedures.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, or TASC) from an accredited institution or government unit.
    2. Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
    3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    4. Experience using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
    5. Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination.
    6. Flu shot for the 2025 season.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
    2. Strong communication and organizational skills.
    3. Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a care team.

    Certifications
    1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Required
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Require
