  • Job Summary
    The MRI Technician is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging, along with maintaining equipment functionality and adhering to best practices in radiologic technology. The MRI Technician will collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Analyze patient histories and conduct screenings for contraindications such as pacemakers or metal-related injuries.
    • Prepare and administer contrast dyes as required for specific MRI procedures.
    • Address patient concerns, ensuring they feel comfortable and calm during scans.
    • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images in accordance with physician orders.
    • Perform regular inspections of MRI equipment, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
    • Maintain clean, safe, and organized MRI rooms to ensure a secure environment for both patients and staff.
    • Train junior MRI Technologists and provide ongoing support to new staff members.
    • Write detailed reports on MRI findings and escalate any technical or patient-related issues to relevant stakeholders.
    • Conduct quality assurance procedures to ensure imaging accuracy and implement improvements when necessary.

    Required Qualifications
    Certifications:
    • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • ARMIT (if applicable).

    Experience:
    • Proven experience as an MRI Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
    • Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging techniques.

    Skills:
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
    • Proficient in operating MRI equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Advanced MRI certifications or specialized training in specific imaging techniques.
    • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
