Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support daily clinic operations, ensure efficient patient flow, and provide high-quality assistance to care teams. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with opportunities to train new staff and serve as a backup to clinic supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Report daily productivity and utilization.
- Monitor patient flow, including wait times, and escalate urgent issues to clinic management.
- Cover breaks and lunches as needed.
- Support medical assistants during staff shortages.
- Sign off individual skills on MA competency checklists.
- Monitor attendance and performance, providing feedback to supervisors or managers.
- Train new hires and externship students.
- Coordinate with clinic management during audits and lead corrective actions.
- Assist with office and medical supply inventory management.
- Act as a super user and trainer for electronic health records.
- Coordinate assignments with care teams.
- Serve as backup to the clinic supervisor when required.
- Correct new hire or extern clinical techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification of completion in Medical Assistant.
- BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- 2–4 years of healthcare work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
