Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care, assist surgeons during procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Circulate and scrub in the operating room as needed
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical activities
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital standards
- Assist in patient education and preparation for surgery
- Support pre-op and post-op care as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (current or in progress)
- 3–5 years of operating room circulating and scrubbing experience
- CNOR certification (preferred)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
- Pre-op area skills (preferred)
- IV start skills (preferred)
