  • Job Summary
    The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients across all age groups under physician direction. This role includes performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing ventilatory support, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis
    2. Administer therapeutic treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway management
    3. Manage mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients in ICU and acute care settings
    4. Assist physicians during procedures and contribute to patient care plans
    5. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care practices
    6. Maintain equipment including assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and functional testing
    7. Document patient care in electronic health records and hospital billing systems
    8. Teach and mentor students and staff in respiratory therapy techniques

    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, administrators, and staff
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues
    • Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
    • Knowledge of patient history and anatomy relevant to respiratory therapy

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Experience in critical care or ICU settings
    2. Prior teaching or precepting experience in respiratory therapy

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    Note- Travel Experience Required
