JOB SUMMARY Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring safe, effective, and appropriate medication therapy. Responsibilities include medication order review, dispensing medications, patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities • Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy, dosage, safety, and appropriateness. • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and storage. • Provide drug information and education to patients, families, and healthcare providers. • Monitor patient drug therapy for adverse effects, drug interactions, and therapeutic outcomes. • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team. • Maintain accurate and complete patient medication records. • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to pharmacy practice.
Schedule / Shift • 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Required Qualifications • Active and in good standing Florida Pharmacist License. • Previous hospital experience. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience • 3 to 5 years of required experience.
Skills • Previous hospital pharmacy experience. • Strong understanding of medication management principles. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
