  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse – Psychiatric to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs. This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and well-being in a psychiatric care setting.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with psychiatric nursing standards and physician orders.
    2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
    3. Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
    4. Support patients in managing psychiatric symptoms and promote therapeutic coping strategies.
    5. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
    6. Document patient care, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    7. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
    8. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and community resources.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Relevant experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    4. Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
    5. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.


    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Experience in inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient mental health clinics, or crisis intervention settings.
    2. Training in therapeutic techniques such as de-escalation or trauma-informed care.
    3. Familiarity with EMR systems.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Active RN license required.
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    3. Advanced certifications in psychiatric nursing (e.g., PMHN-BC) are a plus.
