Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery (SDS) provides preoperative and postoperative care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves assisting with procedures, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring safe and effective care delivery throughout the surgical process across multiple Same Day Surgery locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care in the PACU and Same Day Surgery settings.
- Assist with surgical and procedural activities while ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor patients’ conditions during and after procedures and respond appropriately to changes.
- Initiate and manage IV therapy and administer medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and manage electronic communications, including messages and emails, and triage as needed.
- Coordinate care across multiple Same Day Surgery locations, including Southwood, Townpark, and Gwinnett.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in Same Day Surgery (SDS) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Proficiency in IV therapy and medication administration.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Ability to manage patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
