  • Job Summary
    The Endo Technician provides technical support for endoscopy procedures, ensuring proper preparation, operation, and maintenance of equipment. This role involves assisting physicians and nurses during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting patient care through equipment handling and reprocessing.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare endoscopy suites and ensure all equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures.
    2. Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments and equipment.
    3. Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopy scopes and accessories according to infection control standards.
    4. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, cleaning, and repairs.
    5. Monitor inventory of supplies and assist with ordering and stocking.
    6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
    7. Provide patient support as directed by clinical staff, ensuring comfort and safety.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Prior experience in a healthcare or endoscopy setting.
    3. Knowledge of infection control practices and equipment sterilization.
    4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
    5. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Certification as a Certified Endoscopy Technician (CET) or equivalent.
    2. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    3. Familiarity with GI/endoscopy procedures and terminology.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
    2. CET or other endoscopy-related certification (preferred).
