  • Job Summary
    The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare teams, ensuring efficient patient care and smooth office operations. This role involves assisting with examinations, performing routine procedures, managing patient records, and supporting front-office functions to deliver high-quality, patient-centered service.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Greet and prepare patients for examinations, recording medical history and vital signs.
    2. Assist physicians with routine procedures and patient care activities.
    3. Administer basic tests (e.g., EKGs, lab specimen collection) under supervision.
    4. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
    5. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals.
    6. Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and patient communication.
    7. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in compliance with infection control standards.
    8. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
    9. Support physicians and nurses in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
    3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    5. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    6. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.


    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
    2. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
    3. Bilingual skills, depending on patient population.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    2. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
