Job Summary
The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or injuries. This role is responsible for evaluating patient conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to restore function, improve mobility, and reduce pain. The therapist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes while promoting wellness and injury prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations through assessments and diagnostic tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician recommendations.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and assistive devices.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies.
- Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and modifications in medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in acute care, outpatient, or specialty rehabilitation settings.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Neurologic Clinical Specialist).
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
