Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment. The technologist will ensure patient safety, produce high-quality images, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any concerns or complications.
- Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting to radiologists for interpretation.
- Maintain and calibrate CT equipment, reporting any technical issues promptly.
- Document patient information and procedure details in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification/licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in a hospital or advanced imaging center.
- Familiarity with multiple CT systems and advanced imaging techniques.
- Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Certifications (if any)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
