  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on the severity of illness or injury.
    2. Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with medical, surgical, traumatic, and emergency conditions.
    3. Monitor, assess, and document patient status, responses to treatment, and clinical outcomes.
    4. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
    5. Assist physicians and healthcare providers during emergency procedures and interventions.
    6. Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) therapy and administer emergency medications as required.
    7. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations.
    8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
    9. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
    10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
    11. Adhere to organizational policies, patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
    12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental training activities.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
    3. Experience in Emergency Room, Critical Care, Acute Care, Trauma, or related clinical settings.
    4. Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
    5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a high-acuity environment.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    7. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
    8. Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency and high-stress situations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Prior Emergency Department or Trauma Center experience.
    3. Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
    4. Knowledge of emergency triage protocols and trauma care practices.
    5. Experience with advanced cardiac monitoring and emergency response procedures.

    Certifications
    1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    2. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
    3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or required based on facility needs.
    4. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
    5. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential preferred.
