  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our healthcare team. The CRT will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This role involves administering respiratory therapy treatments, performing diagnostic procedures, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize respiratory function and overall patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and professional standards.
    2. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities as prescribed.
    3. Monitor, evaluate, and document patients’ respiratory status and responses to therapy.
    4. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis, pulmonary function testing, and airway management.
    5. Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure proper infection control practices.
    6. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    7. Respond to emergency situations (e.g., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, rapid response) and provide advanced airway management support.
    8. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, proper use of equipment, and home care techniques.
    9. Participate in quality improvement, safety, and continuing education initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

    Licensure/Certification:
    1. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
    2. Active and unrestricted state respiratory care license (as applicable).
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    4. Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a respiratory therapist in an acute care or hospital setting.
    5. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
    6. Proficiency in using ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory therapy equipment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    2. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
    3. Experience in critical care, emergency, or neonatal/pediatric respiratory care settings.
    4. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic.

    Certifications
    1. Required: CRT, BLS
    2. Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP
