    Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit provides direct patient care to critically ill patients, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion. This role requires advanced clinical skills, the ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in accordance with established nursing standards
    2. Monitor patient conditions including vital signs, lab results, and critical changes, and respond appropriately
    3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
    4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care
    5. Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
    6. Document patient care accurately in medical records to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
    7. Respond to emergencies with rapid response and critical interventions
    8. Support ICU protocols including infection control, patient safety, and evidence-based practices

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education
    3. Minimum of 1–2 years of critical care nursing experience preferred
    4. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
    5. Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
    2. Prior experience in Intensive Care Unit settings
    3. Advanced training in life support techniques (ACLS, BLS)

    Certifications (if applicable)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
    3. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Preferred
