  • Job Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse to provide high-quality patient care during diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures. This role involves pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery while ensuring patient safety, compliance with clinical protocols, and effective coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures across assigned locations
    • Conduct comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs
    • Verify patient consent and ensure readiness for procedures
    • Prepare patients by providing education, safety checks, and care coordination
    • Support procedures as a circulating nurse or moderate sedation nurse
    • Monitor patient condition, including vital signs and response to medications during procedures
    • Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with clinical guidelines
    • Handle and document specimen collection, labeling, and transport per established protocols
    • Provide post-procedure recovery care and monitor for complications
    • Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflow
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure availability of required equipment and supplies

    Required Qualifications:
    • Active nursing license (RN)
    • Experience in interventional radiology, critical care, or procedural nursing
    • Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, sedation practices, and clinical protocols
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
    • Strong communication and patient care skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience administering moderate sedation
    • Familiarity with procedural workflows in interventional radiology settings

    Certifications:
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Moderate Sedation (preferred)
