  • Job Summary
    The Local Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. This role is responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care, assisting with treatment plans, and supporting patients and families in a variety of healthcare settings.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide basic nursing care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments.
    • Support physicians and RNs in patient assessments and care planning.
    • Document patient care activities, observations, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare standards.
    • Assist patients with daily living activities and provide emotional support.
    • Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    • Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
    • Current LPN license in the state of practice.
    • Strong clinical and patient care skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior experience in hospital, long-term care, or outpatient settings.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    • Additional specialty certifications (e.g., IV therapy, wound care) preferred.
