  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide bedside care and support to terminally ill patients in a hospice setting. This role focuses on delivering comfort, dignity, and quality of life during end-of-life care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct bedside nursing care to hospice patients.
    2. Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and overall patient condition.
    3. Administer prescribed medications, including pain management drugs.
    4. Perform wound care, catheter care, and other basic nursing procedures.
    5. Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting).
    6. Assess pain levels and implement comfort-focused interventions.
    7. Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, and mental status.
    8. Communicate patient updates to the RN, physician, and hospice care team.
    9. Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and disease progression.
    10. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
    11. Participate in interdisciplinary care team discussions.
    12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and patient responses.
    13. Follow hospice protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
    2. Experience in direct patient care, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
    3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
    5. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.


    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience working with terminally ill patients.
    2. Familiarity with hospice care protocols and interdisciplinary team collaboration.

    Certifications
    1. CPR certification required.
    2. Additional hospice or palliative care certifications preferred.
