  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Technologist to join our surgical services team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting surgeons and nurses during operative procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
    2. Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical tools and equipment.
    3. Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
    4. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
    5. Monitor and manage surgical supplies, ensuring availability and accuracy.
    6. Handle specimens according to established protocols.
    7. Support patient safety by verifying equipment functionality and assisting with positioning.
    8. Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records as required.
    9. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High School Diploma or GED.
    2. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
    3. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
    4. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
    5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    6. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience working in an operating room or surgical environment.
    2. Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
    3. Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    3. Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS) are a plus.
