  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves continuous assessment, monitoring of vital signs and cardiac rhythms, administering treatments, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs, reporting any changes promptly.
    2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
    3. Provide wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative care.
    4. Coordinate patient care activities with physicians and other healthcare team members.
    5. Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
    6. Manage care for multiple patients with varying medical diagnoses.
    7. Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
    8. Recognize and respond to abnormal heart rhythms, changes in condition, or emergent situations.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
    4. COVID-19 vaccination as required by facility guidelines.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Experience in acute care or telemetry monitoring.
    2. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS).
    3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
