  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse – Emergency Room provides immediate and specialized care to patients experiencing acute illness, trauma, or medical emergencies. This role involves rapid assessment, stabilization, administering treatments, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct emergency care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs
    2. Perform rapid assessments and triage patients based on severity of condition
    3. Administer medications and therapies including IV therapies, blood products, and emergency interventions
    4. Collaborate with physicians and teams to develop and implement emergency care plans
    5. Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions
    6. Maintain accurate EMR documentation ensuring compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
    7. Respond to emergencies including Code Blue, trauma activations, and resuscitation efforts

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
    2. Current BLS certification
    3. Current ACLS certification
    4. Minimum of 1–2 years nursing experience, preferably in emergency or critical care settings

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in emergency room nursing or trauma units
    2. Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
    3. Strong background in critical care and resuscitation

    Certifications
    1. BLS required
    2. ACLS required
    3. NIHSS preferred
