  • Job Summary
    The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) technology to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. This role ensures patient safety, provides compassionate care, and maintains compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform CT procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
    2. Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning, and ensuring comfort and safety.
    3. Operate CT equipment and monitor image quality during scans.
    4. Maintain patient safety by screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety practices.
    5. Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to support diagnostic interpretation.
    6. Document procedures and update patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
    7. Perform equipment checks and quality control to ensure optimal performance.
    8. Assist with training and orientation of new staff or students.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
    2. Completion of an accredited CT training program.
    3. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT or equivalent.
    4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    5. Strong knowledge of CT safety protocols and contraindications.
    6. Excellent communication and patient care skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
    2. Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings.
    3. Familiarity with advanced CT techniques (cardiac CT, perfusion imaging, angiography).

    Certifications
    1. ARRT (CT) certification – required.
    2. BLS certification – required.
